Description

The educational-creative workshop is led by the fresco painter, art professor Hari Vidović dressed as a medieval painter . The workshop consists of viewing and presentation of medieval frescoes in the church of st. Elysee from the 13th century and frescoes from the 16th century in the church of st. Roch the work of master antun from istrian padova.

 

The workshop continues with practical work on making their own fresco in the House of frescoes in Draguć, where each participant will prepare lime plaster "arriccio / intonaco" and lay it on a clay tile that is more than 200 years old. Participant's will draw a sketch on paper and transfer it to a freshly plastered and smoothed surface.

 

With the help of a painter, participant's will paint the agreed motif in the fresco technique with natural pigments, as the old medieval fresco painters did. The motif of the workshop can be the painting of the decorative Glagolitic initial of the participant's own name, as in the Middle Ages.


Upon completion, each participant becomes the owner of his fresco and takes it with him as an original and unique traditional souvenir.
